Dolce – Our School Meals Provider
Dolce School Catering were appointed in September 2021 to supply school meals for Mesty Croft Primary. Dolce are determined to offer you and your child an excellent service, ensuring every child enjoys their meal and has the energy to study and learn in the afternoon. The cost of a school dinner will be £2.64. Dolce are offering exciting new menus each term which are cooked fresh from raw ingredients and will allow parents and pupils to pre-order from home either day by day or up to a full term in advance. To help you make an informed choice for your child a full ingredients list, recipe card and nutritional breakdown for each dish will be provided.
SchoolGrid Account If you would like your child to have school meals, you will need a SchoolGrid account. The email you have previously provided to Mesty Croft will be used to create / activate your account. Please contact the school office if you have changed your email address. You will receive an email from SchoolGrid, Dolce’s software providers, with all of your necessary login details before the end of term. By accessing SchoolGrid online you will be able to pre order meals, view recipes, allergens, ingredients and make payments. We aim to make lunchtime an enjoyable experience for every child.
Allergies The sophisticated allergen blocking system prevents you and your child from ordering any unsafe meal options. All you need to do is tick which of the allergens apply and let the system take care of the rest. If you are having difficulties ticking the allergen information you need, please contact Customer Care and they will happily make arrangements to accommodate your child’s individual needs.
Free School Meals If your child is entitled / registered to Free School Meals your account will be set up for free meals. However meals will still need to be booked.
Payments For your convenience Dolce offer several payment methods. Either sign up to Direct Debit or pay by credit / debit card. Setting up a Direct Debit couldn’t be easier. Just log in, head to the ‘Account’ section, select ‘Direct Debit’ and enter the details required. The payment amount isn’t set, you will only pay for the meals your child has taken.
Direct Debit - This will be collected from your account on or around the 1st or the 15th of each month and will work in arrears for the meals you have taken the month before. You will receive a statement two weeks before a payment is due listing all the meals your child has eaten, the total amount to be taken and the payment date reminder. Dolce cannot set up Direct Debits over the phone. If you prefer not to pay by Direct debit we ask that all accounts are kept in credit. You can top your account up by: Online Card Payment - A card payment can be made online through your SchoolGrid account, please log on and select [Account] - [Pay by card] where on screen prompts will assist in taking payment. There is no charge for making payments by credit or debit card. Telephone Card Payment – Dolce’s Customer Care team are available 8.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday to take a card payment for your account on 01942 707709. The minimum payment amount we can accept over the phone is £10.
