On 10th and 11th March, we were delighted to be joined by PC Shendy Blakemore from West Midlands Police. She delivered a highly informative and thought-provoking presentation Online Safety presentation to our Year 6 pupils. The session began with a quiz to allow pupils to reflect upon their current use of the internet, social media and their awareness of how to keep and stay safe online. The session then explored their answers and it certainly provoked a lot of thought and discussion. PC Blakemore asked the children to sign an Online Safety Pledge at the end of the session and to consider any next steps they had identified in their use of technology and social media. Parents were invited to attend the session alongside their child to encourage shared reflection.
