  • NSPCC Number Day

    Fri 07 Feb 2025

On 7th February, NSPCC National Numbers Day, children at Mesty Croft took part in a variety of fun and exciting practical maths activities. We also raised money to support the NSPCC in their vital work to safeguard and support children and young people across the UK. Children brought in handfuls of loose change  (1’ps 2p’s, 5p’s 10p’s) to create a “money trail” of coins through school before counting, calculating and donating the total to NSPCC.

  • Class MP Elections

    Mon 03 Feb 2025

On Monday 3rd February we turned our school hall into a Polling Station. Children in Years 1 to 6 had the opportunity to vote for their chosen Class MP candidate. Huge thanks to Sandwell LA Electorate Office who allowed us to use their official signage, ballot boxes and voting booths to allow us to create an authentic experience for the children. Daisy (A) in Year 2 came out of the hall beaming with pride and said "I am so proud of myself". Our Prefects took on the roles of Polling Clerks on the day, and Presiding Officers after the event to complete the vote count.
