Black History Month: Steel Drum Workshop

To celebrate Black History Month, the children at Mesty Croft Primary were fortunate to enjoy a workshop focusing on steel drums. We learned about where steel drums originated and had a go at playing notes as a class.

P.E.: Mirroring and Unity

In Indoor P.E. this half term, Year 6 have been exploring the concept of 'unity' and 'mirroring'. We have applied this to various rolls, travelling aspects and balances.

Science: Making Blood!

To begin our topic, we looked at the components of blood. We discussed the role of each component and the function of blood in our circulatory system. We then created our own blood using different materials to represent each component.
