Spring 2

In Spring 2, we will continue our spelling, reading and comprehension focus in RWI, so please remember to read regularly at home. We will be continuing our Talk 4 Writing approach in English with letters from The Day the Crayons Quit and a recount of our Romans day!  During these lessons we will create story maps and learn our stories using actions and pictures. 

In Maths we will be focusing on addition and subtraction crossing ten, multiplication and division (mainly 2, 5 and 10), fractions, money, capacity and mass. We ask that you please continue your homework on Times Tables Rockstars and any other maths topic that inspire you.

We are learning about Aaron Copland in Music and his song 'Hoedown' from the ballet 'Rodeo'. History is all about the Romans and we are learning all about Easter in RE. Finally, we will be learning about our rights and responsibilities in PSHE.

This half term, we will continue our spelling, reading and comprehension focus in RWI, so please remember to read regularly at home. We will be continuing our Talk 4 Writing approach in English with a fantastic focus on dragons!  During these lessons we will create story maps and learn our stories using actions and pictures. The main text that we are learning this half term is 'When the Dragons Came'. We have adapted our version to use with Talk 4 Writing but other versions can be found on Youtube if you'd like to explore them at home.  

In Maths we will be focusing on number and place value, multiplication and division (mainly 2, 5 and 10), fractions, time and money. We ask that you please continue your homework on Times Tables Rockstars and any other maths topic that inspire you.

Paint mixing is our topic in Art, Computing is Scratch Jr and Geography is all about Spain. Finally, we will be learning about how to keep ourselves safe in PSHE.
